Interior Design Advice From Alice Silverman, Self-Proclaimed Decorating Diva

Question:
Alice, I have a Living Room that isn't very large but needs some additional seating to accommodate an occasional large group of people. The problem I am encountering is finding a solution that doesn't overwhelm the beautiful view out my windows or break up the symmetry of the conversation area. Any suggestions?

Answer:
Judy,
Place two cubes on casters on one of the room's side walls - upholster them in a fabric that coordinates with the rest of the accessories in your Living and Dining Areas. The casters will allow you the flexibility to move the cubes into the conversation area in the Living Room when needed and tucked away when not. They can also be brought into your Dining Room for additional seating at the table as needed. Multi-purpose = Multi-solution.

Thanks for writing, Judy.
